Above everything else I am an Artist.  All kinds and styles of art and design, crafting and making of things interests me.  I have an overwhelming love for colour, motorsport and tea.  

 

This website is to showcase my artwork and my passion for motorsport images.  I like to get close up to the subject, my primary focus is usually the eyes because they can say so much of how someone is feeling or what they are thinking, they are very expressive and are a defining feature of someone...you can recognise them just from their eyes.  I adore the colour that comes along with the helmets and overalls as well as the cars.

 

I choose to ignore backgrounds in my work generally as I feel they dilute attention away from the subject and are more often than not unnessary, I like a clean background mostly white, sometimes black for more moody pieces.

 

I like to work in varied sizes and mediums, my current favourite is acrylics for paintings and coloured pencils for the illustrations.

 

Im also doing more work on the natural world, animals, fish, insects and birds to name a few.  Flora and fauna too I will be making prints and originals available of these in the near future.
